John was born with Cerebral Palsy, a condition that affected his muscle tone, movement, and motor skills. Surgeries and therapies have helped with his mobility, and a shoe lift helps him with balance.

John is an amazing young man who despite his challenges, loves to stay active in sports. He enjoys baseball, basketball, video games. He also loves archery, and has even completed the national archery competition, placing 75th in the nation out of 8,000 participants! He was #13 out of all middle school entries, and 7th out of all the 7th graders!
In addition to being active in sports, this amazing Superstar volunteers his time to Shriners Hospitals for Children. Through events, ability awareness presentations, and tours, John shares his story to raise awareness for the hospital.
He also does video and radio spots for educational resources and radio advertisements to help raise awareness about Cerebral Palsy and Shriners Hospitals, and loves attending sporting events representing the hospital as well.
