“LIFE IN THE ZONE!”
Of course, these “minor setbacks” have never kept Theo out of the zone! Being fully independent since 4th grade, he has transitioned into a formidable contender in both academics and sports. With a 95.365 GPA, Theo is enrolled in honors and advanced placement classes and already has earned college credits from University of Arizona. Since he was in middle school, he competed in three National Geographic Geography Bees and has represented the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in the National Competition.
And now… for sports! Theo is a student athlete as a wheelchair basketball and tennis player. As a freshman, he was nominated to the Southwest Regional Wheelchair Basketball Conference 1st Team in 2020. This year he competed in the National Wheelchair Basketball Championships and was recognized as a Dr. Timothy J. Nugent NWBA High School Academic All-American Scholar. And that’s just the tip of that iceberg!
Yes… countless accolades AND a servant’s heart. Theo is a member of the “Belonging Board,” a diverse group of student leaders who work for justice in communities. He is also active in his church and participates in “Acing Autism” as a tennis instructor. Theo is also very active in the pro-life movement, participating in demonstrations in CA, TX & DC, given that 63% of spina bifida pregnancies are terminated.
heo aspires to study geographic information systems in college and graduate school with the hope of entering state or federal public service! What would our lives be like without champions like Theo to inspire us to do our best not only for ourselves but others as well?!
